Looking for a nice Riihimaki. Must be original and 95% or better condition. Prefer half stock model in 222 Rem. Let me know if you have something like that...
Thanks, Bill

I don't know if this is a Riihimaki stamped Sako or not, but HERE is a really nice older Sako in .222 Rem. Yes, right here on the 'Fire! Of course, I get 10% from both buyer and seller for putting you two together. Please contact me for instructions on how to remit my cut... John

You have GREAT tastes in rifles. Mine is not for sale, but they are wonderful 222's. Good luck!

I just got mine about 3 weeks ago and plan to go to the range today. I had been looking for some time and found this one and decided I had to have it since we were both released by our respective "manufacturers" in June of 1952. Every Sako 222 I have shot has been more than able to produce superior groups with factory ammo. I have several links for rings, mounts etc. and a link to check mfg. date. E mail me if I can help with anything.

Lobo - Where do you view the Mark Ferry items?
Muleshoe, That's a decent one. Looking for something a little better though.
Thanks, Bill

I have an extra Marlin/Sako 322 in .222 RemiRngton. Marlin imported the Sako actions in the 50s and put a medium/heavy barrel and a classic American walnut stock on them. This one has an Elpaso, TX Weaver Scope on it with a really cool retro set of rings and bases. I have another 322 that I shoot. It wears a Lilja .17 Remington barrel turned the exact same taper as the original .222 barrel and a Burris 4.5X-14X. These little gems are getting hard to find.
Dont go ridin on that Long Black Train.

I have a Riihimaki Mannlicher 222 made in 1953, that is in about 98% condition. It is as close to like new that I have seen. It has both the original tang peep(100 & 200 yds) sight and correct Sako 1" rings. I also have 222 dies and some once fired brass to include. It is a great rifle. Let me know if you are interested and I will send photos. Thanks,

Lobo, I'll contact Mark directly. Pics are pretty small
DoubleCK - Thanks, I know the 322's are fine rifles but I want a Sako
Gordon - Sounds like a nice piece but I'm thinking half stock. If something changes I'll let you know..
Thanks, Bill

you might want to contact Bromley Gun Shop in Mason City Iowa. He has a number of Sakos for sale. He advertises on Guns America and usually has a number of Sakos on there of the flavor you are looking for.

They have 2 - the early sporter which is what I'd like is D&T'd through the dovetails and seems a little pricy for the condition
