That's great! Hey that lumberyard that I got the ripple tin for the ceiling of the cabin at... Well they are on the final days of the out of business sale. I stopped today to see what they have left and I found aluminum soffit an fascia for the cabin in brown. I might be a couple pieces short on the soffit itself but I believe I have enough fascia, F trim etc. And I got it for less than half what it should have cost! Now maybe we can keep the squirrels out of the attic!

I always thought you had a few squirrels in the attic.  Can't wait to see everyone. The boy will be bringing his new Marlin youth .22rf. We had a litte issue with it out of the box, the stock is cracked. I called the shop and they're going to replace it asap. I'm pretty sure I was more excited than the kids were to get their present....they though they were getting a puppy.  I wish.

Just got home from Mahnomen. Went to try to win a trip to Vegas by playing bingo. Didn't win the trip. Christy did get a bingo but we had to split it with 6 other people, we got $13. Then I got one and didn't have to share with anyone (except for Christy). $590 WOO HOO!!!!!
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Brad is a name I do not recognize.... Yep he is new. He is a good friend of the couple I'm living with. They introduced us the first part of August. He hunts, snowmobiles, likes to go 4 wheeling. He also drives GMC pickups (smart man). But I'm sure he will get no grief about that this weekend. GMC????????????? I dont know if u guys can make it in there with a GMC, i might have to pull you out with a 1951 ford!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ryan, if you are going to wear your chickenbuck shirt the whole hunt, I hope either its a short hunt or it is made out of smartwool, or you are gonnna be a little stinky by the end! Good luck, and be sure to take lots of pics. Our PF regional biologist is headed out there on a deer hunt on Oct 6. he is pretty pumped.

she still has aways to go before she jumps into the shotgun arena. but she has fun. I am seeing signs that she is becoming more of a mommy's girl too. Nothing big, but just here and there she is picking girl things to do instead of doing stuff with Dad. I guess that is inevitable. She will still hunt I believe, but might not be the diehard her daddy is. the boys on the other hand......Mrs Berettaman found a dead frog in her minivan the other day!

The brown truck just dropped off some brass.
200 7RM Hornady blems
200 243 Hornady Primed blems, they didn't say it was primed when I ordered.
So 400 pieces of brass with shipping came to 129 bucks.
I looked it over and can find nothing wrong with any of it.

Have not had a chance to get up there. Yesterday they opened the area the cameras are in for travel. The roads have been closed. 59% contained as of this morning.
Heading for South Dakota to hunt lopers on Thursday. Will have to wait until after that to get up and see whats on the cameras.
Got a scouting report about an hour ago from my hunting partner and he is not happy with the numbers of lopers and says it is really dry out there. He called it a sea of brown grass.

I just saw on the news it was 59% contained. I was up to duluth last weekend and the leaves were in 'change' mode. I stuck a camera out and hope to get a look in a few weekends.

Heading to camp with the big trailer loaded with ceiling tin, soffit/fascia and a 3 point disk to work up a food plot.
And I think I'm leaving work early to make sure i can get some ground worked up tonight before dark.
