Pretty fine. Shot a limit of ducks last weekend. Got an uncle and cousin coming over for deer opener. Winter wheat should be sprouted 'cause old forky toes ate all the turnips and I had to go to plan b. Fence that cost me my saw confidence is done as well as a new gate and 72 yards of gravel. Thinking that for the first time I may head out to camp and just relax. Kid says I have a horrible flaw that way. Can't relax.

Ok I just got on here and saw that Tzone can't come till Saturday. But I got a text from him saying he can't come to CB. What's going on T?
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

4 I agree with the kid I know because I'm the same way. Tzone's gotta work I guess. Bummer.

Sigh.... Work is going on. It is nearing the end of construction season and piss poor planning on contractors is causing me to miss scheduled vacation.
I have a little boy who is kinda mad, but took it much better than I though. I promised to take him wheeling on Sunday so I think we're going to go to Grampa's house. Gophergunner is going to be building stands where we're going to gun hunt so if he goes on Sunday, we might join him.
I'm just irratated and tired. I'll quit whining now.

Looks like it's a go Tom. I'll be pulling the seats out of the van and bringing up a load of wood for stands or ? I'm really torn as to bringing along a shotgun, or just calling it a work day. I know if I don't bring the 20, there's gonna be one incredibly stupid grouse up there sitting on a log looking at me sometime throughout the day, but it's a long drive, and there's work to be done, so it will probably just be a work trip.

I hate to state the obvious, but that's what pistols and shoulder holsters were made for. I think. Just saying. 4

The boys helped me pull a rear axle and change a CV boot on the wheeler tonight, good to get that machine going again. I was still working out at the cabin last night after dark then got a call on the way home that a friend needed help tracking a bear. The bear was a very short track and very uneventful retrieve (just the way I like night time bear tracking ) But I was still plenty tired this morning. Ma is down in the cities for some work training, me and the boys are playing some wi and I think it will be a nice 9PM bedtime. PWM and I will be heading to camp tomorrow after school gets out. Probably be out there by 5PM

No, looked to be last year's cub. Still quite a trophy for the 14 year old boy that shot him though. Excellent shot placement. He done good.

Muzzle loader deer season starts Sunday.I will go either Monday or Wednesday. I hope you all have a good weekend.Watch for swamp squids.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

If it's an incredibly stupid grouse, you can hit it with the hammer. Yeah, but I haven't had a chance to sight in my hammer yet-and apparently you haven't eve seen me shoot a hammer! I have a hard enough time hitting nails, let alone a grouse sitting in a tree!

You're right, but the chances of unlimbering a shotgun and getting a shot off when I'm hauling a load of tree stand wood with both hands would be pretty slim. The gun would be more in the way than anything else.
