The Spaniards gave land grants to the whites as a bufferzone to keep the Apaches and other tribes off of them. The whites paid their dues and the mexicans had nothing to do with it. Sorry but illegal is illegal. Biden is a fool.

There were a lot more brown people in the Alamo fighting to be free of Mexico than there were white people in there - but those ones that got free with us are Americans now, not Mexicans, and most of their descendants are still brown. I've got friends that trace their family 300 years back to the Pueblo Colorado area, they are brown too and call themselves Americans as well. The Brown Americans I know want a fence on the border also -- Wetbacks are after their jobs!

Sorry but illegal is illegal. Biden is a fool. One thing that constantly goes unmentioned is the extremely low population of non-native individuals in the province of Coahuila e Tejas in the late 18th and early 19th century! An extremely vast and unsettled frontier,,,,, until "you know what" occured.... By 1830 there were a lot more whities here than the Mexican govt (btw, the same guys that kicked the Spaniards out) really bargained for!!!!! BNB

Umm...the GOP track record on the issue perhaps? You're not that dense so quit playing coy.
if you can't figure out the difference between the GOP on this issue today and thirty years ago, you need to get out more. So, I guess it's possible that your're that dense, but "W" wasn't POTUS 30 years ago, just a mere 3 years ago. Gonna defend him ad nauseum like a good sheep? I assume you'll insist on defending the GOP's track record on this issue. How blatantly typical of the neocon ilk. Kudos. no, you moron, you're the only one talking about track records, and then trying to project the past onto 2012. While you and your Paulist ilk sit around and whine and circle jerk on paulbot sites, the real work is being done in the GOP, where the tea party hits the road in elections. assuming you're not just an Obama plant, and the jury is still out on that

We have people from everywhere in Texas.German towns with the food and beer that will put 20 pounds on you in a weekend.Polka festivals ect. They all call themselves Americans.Been here for generations.I have no problem with anyone wanting to come to America and become an American citizen. We have a way for that to happen.I know people who have done it.My problem is illegal immigration. They dont want to become Americans. They want a free ride. They will turn Texas into Mexico. They dont respect our laws, customs or us.The hell with them.

I've never understood why these individuals want to get the hell out of the schidt hole that is Mexico (which I completely understand), come here, and then turn right around and turn this place into the same kind of 3rd world schidt hole???? At least that appears to be the mantra of "La Reconquesta"!?!? Is that what it's all about?????
S'plain it to me Loocy?????

I have DNA ancestry going back to the land bridge crossers and their southern migration to what is now southwestern America. My wife has ancestry from the Spaniards coming from the south that claimed this same region at one time.
My daughter is therefore a mixture of all claimants, and the heir apparent, high Princess of any disputed land...

You had a problem with my first post, in which I loosely stated that things will be no different after the 2012 elections. That is true, in my opinion. Quit trying to deflect that fact and show some [bleep] honesty. You're not fooling anyone, with any brain matter at least. You're a dishonest tool of the progressive 'right'. I've been dealing with your kind for years. The entire POINT in my first post was to say that the track record of the GOP isn't any better than the Dims on this issue. So, either you're an idiot, or dishonest. Your call.

There's are parts of the world where cultures overlap, and where national boundaries are, to varying degrees, rather arbitrary when viewed against the cultural and geographic landscape. Parts of the American SW are like that.

I really can't figure out if you're a plant or just an idiot. You the rest of the "woe is us" brigade are useless drones....whining like women, with no ideas other than that that Ron Paul dude is sooooo dreamy. your stupid statement that nothing will change in 2012, supported by reference to the past, is exactly what I responded to. things are different, as the 2010 election began to demonstrate. your are free to participate, or not, as you see fit. I seriously doubt if you've dealt with my kind. I make it a point not to deal with yours.

Parts of the American SW are like that. Wow! That sounds like it came right out my 5th grade social studies text,,,,,, I think.... Great advice for someone who's family has been west of the Sabine for 160 years......
