I've got the trip mostly planned. Any one got any advice on hunting 78, South San Juan Wilderness area, around Sand Creek/ Quartz Mtn? Oct. 22-30, 2nd rifle

This is the first time for me, coming from FL

Not familiar with the exact area, but there are some big, steep mtns in the general vicinity.

Bring some warm gear, last night was 31 degrees here in Pagosa Springs. The days are nice but it's cooling down at night for sure. Snow in the mountains around 8500 ft and up as of right now.
