Found a private range close to home that has "public rifle" days on Saturdays. I made my way over to check it out. The two venison makers are ready to go.

Shot the Rem 760 .35rem at 50 yards with 200gr Core lokts touching. Sighted dead on a 50, which is what I usually do for the pumps. Should be good to 150 yds that way.

The M70 fwt .243win is 2" high at 100 with factory Federal loads, 85gr Barnes TSX.

Just got a text from my SIL. Granddaughter got a doe tonight (WI youth hunt) with the rifle. She can still take a buck this weekend.

They also had a bear up a tree close to their tree stand. Bet that got her excited.

Gotlost called last night and said they had a bunch of snow over there, we're at a balmy 46 and steady drizzle right now. we had the same wind and cold since thursday as well. I've been wanting to go after some SD goats but they don't like the high wind any more than I do. I'm doing the grouting in our "wine cellar" this afternoon, since we tiled it a couple days ago

I got the bricks on the front of house re-mortar'd this afternoon. It was a nice day to spend outside. I really haven't been out much since Monday.

Ms Ashlee has no quams at all about pulling the trigger on a deer. Field dressing is another story all together.

It's still 81* here. Can't remember ever wearing shorts in October before. Temps are going to start dropping Tuesday?

Long day today. Left home 0500 and headed to deer camp. Checked all the cameras, 1700+ pictures. Then headed back home, got here 4.30 pm. When I get them sorted out I will post a couple of buck pictures. I think this is the most bucks we have seen on camera. Some are nice.

Talked with mt SIL this AM. Granddaughter's doe field dressed at 130 pounds. They had it weighed at the registration station in Catawba, WI.
