These are MAX loads in my gun(s) & are over Norma's recommendations; as usual, start 10% lower & work up in your guns.

I use H4831SC in my 25-06AI, 6.5x55AI,270, 28o,7mm weatherby with light bullets and 300 ultra with light bullets.
I have always had good luck getting good, very consistent accuracy with this powder. It also is the best powder I have used for not losing velocity in cold weather.
At one time I used allot of RL=22, but I noticed that my 25-06AI had significant velocity lose in cold weather.

I think it depends on bullet weights. Seemed like IMR 4350 did better in the 130 -140's but man oh man 55.5 of H4831sc with a 150 absolutely thrills me.

For those using Ramshot Hunter, what charge has been best under a 140 gr bullet?

Hey I have a Lb of this. I could give Hunter a try with 130gr bullets. What charge did you settle on? Anyone else have a pet load with Hunter with a 130 gr bullet?

If H4831 or R22 wont get a 270win perking, there's other issues.

In my experience substituting Hunter for the above two powders gives the better place to start.

I've had a few that weren't consistent with H4831 or RL22, but all have shot Hunter well.
