Still trying to find my great-grandfather's Model 1895 and get it back in the family. This is a repeat from 2010 and early 2011:

*Sold +/- 1983 in a yard sale in Oklahoma City;
*I believe the most distinguishing thing about this rifle is that it has three rear sights: (1) standard Buckhorn, (2) tang peep sight, and (3) flip-up "ladder" type sight behind the peep sight - I have not seen any other 1895's or 1899's with this configuration (not factory installed);
*Rifle/crescent butt plate;
*Full-length octagonal barrel;
*Serial #329x.

Will pay fair price. Does anyone know any Savage collectors in OKC? I can't make it to the big Tulsa gun show in November, but if anyone goes, please keep your eyes open for this rifle - I'll pay a cash reward if you connect me with the current owner & I'm able to buy it. Many thanks to Lightfoot and RLG who I had the pleasure of meeting earlier this year; they have been a big help in many ways in my quest to find this gun.
