Looking through the Colorado Big Game Hunting Regulations I note that it says "no camouflage blaze orange". I'm assuming that means that the blaze orange vest/hat must be plain without any tree branch break up patterns etc. Is this what they mean?

The hat MUST be blaze orange. It has to be visible 360 degrees. You can meet this with a blaze orange hat band. I had a orange cap, but it was not bright enough. It has to be blaze orange.
Not enough can be said about two pairs of boots. My boots would not dry out overnight inside. When you have dampness inside your boots, you can have cold feet.
It is a different cold in Colorado. It does not penetrate to the bone like the damp cold back east. In over ten years, I never hunted in insulated bibs or insulated coveralls there.
Good Luck!

Yes, no break up pattern.
And I recommend having both a ball cap and warm hat, even in Nov.

Thanks! I'm bring several lids. I'm bringing too much stuff, I'm sure. I guess better to have a selection of gear and pick what I need for the day and leave the rest in camp.
