Tom, the JD uses a Briggs engine, correct? Yes, JD and Toro use the same engine. They call them "snow series." I think this one is the 1350? The 8hp is the 1050. The snow series are made for snow blowers, where the other motors are retro fitted to work on snow blowers. I'll try to grab a pic when I get home tonight.

Actually I think I'm going to settle in on 63 gr of powder for my 264 load.

62.5 and 65 gr both shot well.
But I'm a little worried the 65 gr is too hot for my ruger.
I think I'm going to back down to 63 gr of powder and do some experimenting with overall length.
I'm off the lands .046" right now. I think I'll repeat that seating depth and also try some at .020" off the lands, possibly some at .010 off the lands.
Either way, I know I'm pretty well set with what I've found already.

Just returned from the Eagle River area. Helped my old friend close up his cottage. Beautiful day in the northwoods. Tamarks were just glowing in the sunlight.

I'm thinking that's a fisher, seems too big for a martin.

I think you're right. The only thing cooler than a Single 6 is a Single 10. I carry that gun nearly every time I'm in the woods now.

I would tend to agree with Dave, looks like a fisher, martin are smaller and slimmer.
Could be good money for someone looking to put out traps.
