Yup!really smooth and fast, and accurate as hell also.I can hit a half dollar at 30yards all day with my AS300.What is not to like. The prices are the icing on the cake.I know for a fact darton sells tons of there patents to other companies they get credit for.The hybrid cam is the most recent one that darton was first to have. Now you see them on lots of new bows. This is how they get paid!!

I can't see me calling myself a "Darton nut" but I hunt with one and am very well pleased. When I finally put my Bear "Black Bear" into retirement I tried out a lot of bows at the archery shop and the Darton got the nod. I live in Michigan but didn't even know that Darton's were made in my home state when I bought it. Come to think of it, I may be a Darton nut. I shoot a Darton and my wife says that I'm nuts so there you go.

My first compound was a Darton. I don't know what model it was but it was made back in 1987. It did the trick but I have a Matthews QXL cira 2000'that will shoot as well as anything new if I choose to put away my recurve and knock the dust off it. If it works for you and you like it have at it. I don't see any new bow killing any better than another as long as the shooter can hit their target.

Where exactly in Michigan are they made? It would be nice to check out the place.

The long-time Matthews dealer in my area's pro shop guy was an avid 3D shooter and bowhunter. He bought a Darton.

Question, which of the two cam systems is the better of the two in Darton's line of bows. Marauder 1 1/2 cams or the AS300 2 1/2 cams system. I have not heard much in here on darton bows, if anyone know's alot about Darton and its bows or shoots them please share thoughts and opinions,Thanks

The 2 1/2 cam system is a newer faster design. And is a more accurate cam sequencing system.Just newer better technology. The 2 1/2 cam has been untouched since 2007,because it's such a good design. All the new dartons have this style cam now.Marauders are great bows though!!

Darton was THE BOW to have in this neighborhood 30 years ago. Everybody started with an SL-50. Then came dish TV and hunting videos with all the ads featuring pen-raised, pen-killed deer and women with big mamms. Darton just does not promote as aggressively as the others. The bows are as good as any made and cost less than most. But it's hard to argue with big mamms.

I really like the look of a Darton Marauder or the Pro 4000GT.

Is the Pro 4000GT an older model? I don't see it on the Darton website.

My first compound was a Darton 30MX and I didn't buy another until many years later. I still have it and have taken most of my deer with it.
