Steve, I'd love to watch it but every time I think of the bungling of our government over the whole issue, I get mad enough to spit. Boy did they ever pooch that one, big time.

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. Was it coincidence that Eisenhower happened to create NASA in 1958? Nah, he knew we were coming!
As a result of the Arrow project, many of the Canadian scientific and technical staff went on to other aerospace companies and NASA. All contributed with the technology learned on the Arrow program and followed it up with the US space program.
Without those contributions, the US would have fallen behind the Soviets in the space race. Our guys may have departed Malton, but they were still waving the flag in Houston, TX, Huntsville, AL and Cape Canaveral.
Wait until Obama gets our bill!

I was a kid, living in Weston, when I first saw the Arrow. Occasionally it would pass over our town at low altitude and low speed. Was quite a sight.
People complained about the sonic boom it created when it broke the sound barrier. We kids thought it was great!
Imagine, we had a Mach2 aircraft in the late 50s!

Yes, it was called "The Arrow". It was originally aired in Canada as a mini-series on CBC.
