I know that there is probably an endless list of magazine manufactures out there for the AR15, but I would like to know which ones you have used that you like the best. I would also like know of some places to purchase magazines. I like the 20rd mags & I am interested in some 5 or 10rd mags for bench work with the rifle.

The preferred model among the trigger-pullers in SWA is Magpul's polymer PMag. Among the alu USGI mags, my favorites are Okay and D&H. Yes, they really are made by "Okay" but are marked NHMTG on the base plate.
If you go USGI, check the follower color before you buy. Anything other than pale green indicates they're one of the older versions and not the current design. Magpul also makes a non-tilt follower for the USGI mags that a lot of people are fond of. If you're really feeling particularly mall ninja-ish, swap the USGI springs for ISMI CM replacements.

I have used a ton of USGI mags, and I currently own some Pmags, but I am getting to where I like the Troy Battle mag the most.
I like them enough that I will probably begin the process of rotating out the Pmags for Troy BMs.. but that will be a long process now. My AR mags aren't getting the work out they used to get..

I buy most of my magazines from 44mag.com I get all of my M1A mags there, and buy only the CMI ones.
My AR mags are D&H, Okay, Adventure Line and FN. I have a fair number if mil surp mags that were carried in Iraq, that have no marking on the bottom plate.

A local dealer carries the P-Mags in stock for about $15 per unit out the door. Works for me...

I think I have 30-40 Colt 20 round mags and maybe 20-30 20 round Pmags. My preference is the Colt mags with alloy followers, I'll buy all I find.
30 round mags I have maybe 6 new GI mags with Magpul followers and probably that many or a few more Pmags. I just don't use the 30's that much and wouldn't know what to do with a 60 or 100 round mag.

Load the magazine the night before and shoot an entire match without having to change mags. That would save time, wouldn't it?

Magpul P-Mag's, or Brownell Mag's

I have enough 20s that I could possibly carry on me... thats about it for me. Do have a few 30s laying around for whatever reason, I think someone gave me some that his kid found while training... But I am like you, if I can find any of the old 20 rounders, not just colt, with alloy followers I tend to have a weak spot for them.
