Not sure limestone is a good idea for a pit anyway as it doesn't hold up to heat that well..Get the fire hot enough and I suspect it will start to crumble like it does when its turned into lime..

Is this the father-in-law pit? What size? I went by his shop today to check them out before driving all over Texas to find one. They are definetly badass pits. But like you said, he is really high on the price buying it directly. Did I read correctly that you got it for $500? How did you get in contact with the stores to see if they had them in stock? Thanks for any info
