I understand and appreciate Rick's hands off approach but those who purposely post dangerous lies should be gone.

"...Work up to these overloads. Don't hold the gun. The recoil might injure the hand. Use a trigger string. Glock triggers need a rubber band wrapped around them for this. I can hold the Glocks in my hand for this test, as I am related to the 4 time world's strongest man. My hand still hurts for hours afterwards..." I am engineer. Sorry I don't speak at your level. But if I could just shake your hand, and look you in the eye, I am sure we could communicate. I am an engineer, too. If you want to challenge conventional wisdom with experiments, and then publish the results, I suggest you locate a copy of Sherman Bell's articles "Finding out for Myself", in Double Gun Journal where he actually proof tested old damascus guns to destruction. It was an entertaining, but thoroughly researched and well documented series, where his conclusions are well supported by the data. Aside from the question I posted on the thread, "...does it still work reliably as a semiautomatic pistol?" You should at least have a caveat in there about welding heat treatable steel. As you probably know, welding such steel can create brittle sections, with a high likelihood of catastrophic failure, if great care is not taken. Even if you are pulling the trigger with a string, shrapnel is a hazard I suspect you're actually not a bad guy at all, but you throw out these experiements like anyone can do them, and the hyperbole combine to make experienced shooters & reloaders cringe at your methods.

Hell, I'm not an engineer, and even I know what clark is saying is just plain stupid, it's glock fer craps sake, not a Ruger Revolver. Thats just askin for some young, new to reloading guy to try it, and hurt, maim or kill themselves. Most engineer's I know have moral standards, obviously clark has none.

Ummm duh hello guys.... are you all clueless? He IS related to the 4 time world strongest man. What you idiots don't realized is that means that clarkm is so strong his massively muscled hands are actually holding the guns together and containing the pressure. Duh its pretty simple to understand. Its all in the grip!

Naw Scott, there are some true nutcases on Mercer, I learned that in my 3 years at Lewis, that was one place I avoided like the plague.

what a bunch of jealous haters.
sheesh. The adults on this site still maintain PM contact with Lee, and laugh at the children.
Kent There is a role of being Mr know it all that is resented by the poor students. They jealously flame the guy. At Accurate Reloading 6 years ago Scott Sweet had that role. He can do Von Misses calculations on case head strength. At Gun and Game, a couple month ago Bart Bobbitt had that role. Unending flames. A 1982 picture of Bart at Camp Perry is the NRA icon for accuracy. What does it all mean? If we are really the adults, we should be able to laugh off the two years olds calling us "poop heads".

Of course! The inferior intellect laughs at that which he fears, envies or fails to understand. The superior intellect is challenged and refreshed by new knowledge or new points of view. And now.... the inferior intellects will flame away. what a bunch of jealous haters.

If the slow students [err, gun consumers, not gun engineers] just put their faces in the palms, they would not have started this thread about resenting the smart students [ err, know it all engineers].
Digital Dan?
Have not seen you in years.
You would not know where to side, you are both smart AND a smart ass.... I hope you still are.
