Ok lets hear 1st hand experience whats good and bad and value for the bucks.
I had a Stealth cam 8 MP that I bought at Sams club came with SD card and batteries paid $99 was a great deal or so I thought it worked great for a couple weeks and it crapped the bed.
I have a Primos Truth cam 46 that has been in service for a couple days seems ok 5 mp but at night 3.1 mp some good photos some blurry if deer was to close and moving. Cost was $99

Picked up a Cuddeback Attack IR and a Primos Truth 60 7 mp to day and set them up. Cuddeback was $229 Truth 60 was $149
Saved the receipt incase they are junk or crap out
Here are a couple pictures pic from the Primos 46...

we've had good luck with the Bushnell cameras. They don't eat batteries and take good photos.

I am still wondering if that deer on the left is a dwarf.

I've got a couple of Cuddeback NoFlashes that I've been running since about 06, they've been good cameras. Don't know about the new Cuddebacks...

Also running one of the early Bushnell Trophy cams. Really enjoy this camera. Excellent battery life and good pics.

The best: RECONYX

But very expensive, so I only have one and make due with a handful of Bushnell Trophy Cams.

I also have a Bushnell Trophy. New this year. It has been working fine and is pretty much the same guts as my Scoutguard.

I have friend who has 4 or 5 Leupold cameras and they suck, so far.

We'll see how good they treat him when he sends them back for service.

One thing I'd say, stick with one brand as a couple different ones can get a bit confusing when setting up or making changes.

Moultres have been pretty worthless for me. At best they will last a season. I have had best luck with the cheap fifty dollar Tascos from Wally World. Good battery life and they just keep working.

wildgame innovations micro 3 red. picked one up at cabelas for 59.99 or 69.99 something like that. went back and got 4 more. they take awesome pics, AND have good battery life, and are dirt cheap as far as I'm concerned. they run off AA batteries or you can do the solar panel 6v thing.

also, that stock tank is 32 yards from the tree the camera is in. it says its rated to 60 feet, but it will do better than that. and do video, change the resolution you name it. I strongly recommend it as far as a bang for your buck camera.

Does anyone have a clue as to whether the red led light up or night flash may bump a big, old buck off a particular spot? The big muley I was bowhunting has "disappeared". confused

i don't know, but...

i do know of a guy who has had a number of cameras stolen after the flash alerted kids/trespassers to its placement...

Moultries have been only fair for us. Cuddeback Capture with flash have been better than the IR version.

cuddeback are pretty good with photo quality, but the battery life isn't that great with regular flash models. I started using the bushnell trophy cams, and the quality is very good on day time photos, but sucks on night time photos. primos cameras have bad nighttime quality also. If you want "the best", you need to look at the reconyx, or the buckeye systems. get your wallet out though for them....
