Opinions on the Stoeger Coach Gun please...

http://www.stoegerindustries.com/firearms/stoeger_coach_guns.php

As a light grouse gun in 20 gauge.
Also I am thinking ahead to some SASS shooting in the future.

thanks

the wood stock one I looked at at Cabelas was pretty rough. you could pick up an old Savage 311 and whack the barrels off and have a smoother and nicer gun.

did seem hell for stout....if you needed to beat the grouse to death you'd be in business.

Yeah, my boss bought a field model last year and though it is rough around the edges it functions fine and shoots where you point it.

I've owned a few Stoegers. Had problems with barrel convergence on one. I never could hit with one of the barrels.

The above posts are right. Finishing (wood and metal) can be a little rough, but I've never had one fail.

They are a bit heavy.

There is nothing light about a stoeger. They are also handle like a club. If you do shoot cowboy action get a 12 guage. With a bit of smithing the stoeger coach gun makes a passable CAS shotgun.

Politicians and Diapers both need to be changed often, and for the same reason!
