Have not heard that name in forever. Used to be a kinda big name in custom rifle circles, have you tried googling the name?

Yes, I have. They are far and few of them out there. They were made in Sequin, Texas and the company is no longer in buiness. They produced only about 2000 rifles and are considered a very good weapon.

I really wanted one when I was a kid. The ads guarenteed 1 1/4"
3 shot groups at 100 yards. It was quite a guarentee at the time.

The barrel was produced in Germany but the rest of the rifle was custom built in Sequin, Texas to your specifications if you wanted a special rifle or standard rifle.

My model 99 Mauser is a dead ringer for a K14 or K15.

Based on a sample of one K14 Insta-fire in 7x57...appearance somewhat resembled a Weatherby, heavy rifle, 24" barrel was "slow" (velocities ran 100-150 fps less than a 22" Ruger M77 7x57), odd and unconventional safety, magazine release, and floorplate/ trigger guard assembly, accuracy within the 1 1/2" guarantee, excellent craftmanship with exceptional wood-to-metal fit and deep, lustrous blue-

In 1983 my dream rifle was a K-15 in 375 H&H mag.

Actually, the action was made in West Germany by Voere and they were barrelled in Seguin. Later on, Mauser acquired the rights to the design. Over the years, rifles on the same action were sold as the KDF K-14 & K-15, Voere Titan, Mauser 225 (Euro market) & 99 (U.S. market) and briefly by a company called Apollo, possibly others.
I have two of these rifles, a Kleinguenther in .411 KDF Magnum and a Mauser 99 in 9.3x64. A friend owns two of the Voere Titans in 5.6x57 & .375 H&H.
KDF is still in business in Seguin doing custom work and of course the KDF Recoil Arrestors. Phil Koene still runs the business and he maintains a small inventory of replacement parts for the old KDF rifles. I was in need of a replacement ejector spring for the .411 a few months ago and he had just had some new ones made up.

Back in the 1980s American service member could by the Voere all day long in the rod and gun clubs. A friend placed a last minute order for one and needed it quickly. The factory at then time was running a batch for Kliengunther so he ended up with one stamped Kliengunther on the action. '

My memory is a bit different. I believe Kliengunther bought completed Voeres and then tuned them to guaranteed accuracy standards. You could also send them your Ruger 77s and they would tune those as well.

Have you contacted KDF in Seguin, TX. The owner of KDF bought out Robert Kleingunether and of course is famous for the muzzle breaks. The shop has K-14s and K-15 come in and sometimes he has them for sale. All service work is still done by KDF. The Voere Shikar is the almost exact same rifle without some of the fanciere touches. The K-14 had a wonderful flip up safety and mine shot 1/2" all day with cheap Remington ammo. When you search for a K-14 check Voere first because I see more Kleins listed as Voere than Kleinguenther. KDF does crazy good custom rifle work.

Look at standard firearms the buy sell lots of Kleinguenther's They guaranteed 1/2 groups. A K-15 improved is what you want. Standard site explains all about different models. I have several. On par with anything made today. 14's sell 7 to 800. 15's 1400.00 up for nice ones.

I bought mine in 1977. Back then there was only the K14. At that time he was guaranteeing 1/2" groups with the correct load. Mine did that. It's on its third barrel. As a .375- .416 Rem Mag it has fired so many 3/8" groups I was no longer surprised when it shot that well.

I used to spend a bit of time talking with Mr Kleinguenther as his shop was next door to a friends shop there in Seguin. He was a super nice guy and built a hell of a rifle
