Looks like it held up good... In wind like that I would be wishing I had a nice dome style tent...

Not sure on that. My Cabelas Guide Model dome tents don't even shed the wind that well.

Looks like it held up good... In wind like that I would be wishing I had a nice dome style tent... Chuck Adams had a North Face VE25 that was destroyed by a storm on Kodiak years ago. All nylon ain't created equally. The stuff Kifaru uses is structurally the same as what they use for ram-air parachutes. After experiencing the opening shock from one of them opening at 25,000 ft, and damn near blacking out from it, and looking up and seeing an intact canopy, you learn to appreciate modern textiles. Interestingly, the most common problem we used to have on those high opening jumps, was broken lines, never a problem with the nylon canopy.

Thanks for posting the video Luke. That's definitely wood stove weather!

Lanche, How many tent nights are you up to this year? Looks pretty typical for what this fall has been like. One of the most wet, cold, and miserable falls I've had, with a few nice days. It's definitely changed my opinion of what "comfortable" is.

Calvin, For the hunting season I think I am up to 50+ between August 7th and now. But for the year total its pushing 100 nights in a tent YTD. Still am likely going winter camping for another 5-7 days before the year is out, though my tent camping slows down in the winter time and I spend more time in my cabin when I want to "get away." Nights spent at my home between beginning May to now is around 25 nights. The rest is at work or in the field. Pretty blessed to log the amount of nights out I do and still carry a full time job.

Was wondering how long a tent stake do you use and what kind...
That was a great video...
