first kill for the #1-s in .475 linebaugh....speer 325grain deepcurl over a max load of lil gun, in Hornady brass. glasswware is a VX3 1.5-5x heavy duplex.

he was chasing a dis-interested new girlfriend, and she led him past the tree.

the hornady XTP also shoots to same POI, will use that one next just to compare.

Wish I had a deer hoist like that. Nice looking wood on that one for sure. Bet that deer didn't run too far either.

never clocked any, only got around to shooting it around a month ago. you may have seen these links already, these are 2 that got me intrigued in this caliber in the first place.

i ordered a pair of lee moulds, but have not cast any yet....about the time i got the rifle, midway had a sale on .475's, and i got a couple boxes of XTP's, and a couple of boxes of the speer. eventually, would like to try some cast bullet ".48special" loads in .480ruger brass to go along with the full tilt .475LB loads.

Way to go! Bet there has not been alot of deer taken with a Ruger #1 in the .475 linbaugh.Nice wood also.
