Price? Construction? Versatility? You've got a decent quandary when you consider the pros and cons of those three. Why not just take the easy way out and use the 225 Partition? It pretty well balances all those issues. smile

Then again, there isn't a bone in old Alces which can 'undone' a Barnes 200. And a TTSX should be even mo'betterness.

But, as I was saying, you probably wouldn't be headed the wrong way with most any 35 cal bullet in your 350 either. These are 200 XFB, 225 N-AB, 225 N-PT, 250 H-IL, 250 S-HC, 250 S-GS; some are doubles: all shot through 8" of fresh cottonwood log @ 100 yards.

Ive heard reports of the 220 HC being made for lower velocities, but Ive also read of an outfitter that uses it exclusivly for Elk from a 358 win.

For Whelen or 350 mag velocities I would suggest the 250 grainer for tough critters. Cant say about the weldcores.. But if that is similar to core-locks, that is a very good bullet.. I personaly prefer core locks to Hornady interlocks.. Not a lot of difference though.
