What do you guys use to record load data and rifle info? I have notes all over the place and need to get better organized.

I used to keep a small notebook with all the info. Now, I write the loads down in that while I'm loading, then transfer to Excel. I also made my own targets in Excel with a notes section at the bottom where I write down load data and weather conditions, etc. Hole punch 'em and put 'em in a binder when I get home from the range.

3 ring binder, dividers and note paper. Been doing it that way since about 1975. trouble with computers are that they ain't never in my loading room, and I can't tape any targets to them....

Have a form I made for a range log, then scan my targets into a JPG, measure using OnTarget, put results into a log sheet in excel. Scan the range notes into a JPG and file them in the computer and also keep a reloading log there also. Got tired of the library of targets, notebooks and papers and found excel can tell me many things when I want to put the time in.

Its not that I am anal, just have way too much time on my hands, but it only takes an hour or so to do it all. Building my system took a lot of time though.

Was given the Lee Shooter software several years ago and I use that and a log sheet I made up on Excel.

Ditto the paper notebook and attaching paper targets. I have all of my records going back to 1968.

Uploading it all into a computer file seems to me to be a waste of time, and believe me when I say I'm a huge convert to the digital world. Sometimes the old way is still the best way. Now if someone could figure out how to set up a computer screen at 200 yards with a target image to shoot at, and directly download the results to a file...

3 ring binder, I think it's from MTM and came with a bunch of data sheets. Bought it long before I owned a computer.

I like the excell spread sheet, if I want to share my loads or e mail them its easy. Store them on a back up hard drive and a
USB disk. And I have a printed folder, plus even I can,t read
my handwriting! JMHO
