Things have finally quieted down enough to resume testing. Installed a JARD 2lb trigger. Nice!
Barnes 375gr/Accurate 1680/OAL - 2.228 inches
45.0gr - 1717/1782/1782fps - 1 5/8in @ 100yds
OAL - 2.230 inches
45.1gr - 1766/1773/1773/1734/1783fps - 1 1/8in @ 100yds
This is going to be our WalkAbout load. Soft recoil, quite comfortable.
Interesting to note: The velocity with the two different charge weights vs the reduction of center to center group size @ 100yds and the increase of .002 inch OAL.
Will play with some 500gr slugs just for the heck of it, as time permits. Will continuue using the 335gr Rainier Plated slugs for plinking.
Anyone else doing any shooting?
