We have one local match in which the shooters have to engage five little steel chickens at 80 yards with a bi-podded rifle. The shooter has one minute to go from standing to prone and with no more than ten rounds, try to take out as many of the chickens as possible. His/her score is the number of birds left standing and the low score wins. One shoots this regimen three times during the match for an aggregate score. Tied shooters have a shoot off with only five rounds allowed.
I think this rifle may be effective in that match with different glass. I have a Weaver Grand Slam 6-20X40 with a dot reticle that I'm considering mounting on this Varmint model.
