Have a 2004 Toyota Tundra 4-door I purchased new that came with Dunlop tires that showed significant wear at 15,000 and are shot at 22,000. Had Dudlops(oops!) on a 2000 Subaru same deal. I am not happy. But if you go back to Dudlop(damn) you get prorated off of retail price(HIGH!) and more junk tires. I should kick myself for not asking for another tire when I picked it up. Anybody else with this dilema.
Just because I am wandering around doesn't mean I am lost.

Never used them myself - always been a BFG man myself.

On my '94 toy truck, I replaced the factory tires at about 40k, and the BFG a/t's I put on are still going strong with 130k on the odo, (90k on the tires) I still have distance to the wear markers, but figure I'll replace them next year.

Takman,
My Tundra's original tires lasted about the same number of miles as yours.. I also have a Toyota Camry and had to replace it's original tires at 17,000 miles..
I replaced both vehicles tires with Michelin ..

My 98 T100 came with Dunlop tires and it really handled poorly....drifting with pavement cracks etc....after 8K I went to Michelin and enjoyed that truck for another 240K miles.

Same here, I had poor mileage with Dunlops, but have always enjoyed excellent mileage and ride on the Michelins

Had close to 40K on the T/A 31-10:50s on my S-10 when one of the front ones blew at 75MPH last month. Weren't even close to not passing inspection, tread-wise, figured they'd last another year. I was wrong.
Got new ones now. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
If three or more people think you're a dimwit, chances are at least one of them is right.

Michellens are always the best, however the new coopers are acctully pretty good tire and a lot more affordible then the Michellens. I put about 40k on a set of BFG at's the got replaced with cooper discovorers this last summer. And I run Dunlop Mud rovers when hunting They traction better than an AT but don't were as well but I only put about 1000 mi a year on my muds.
