My recent adoption, Amy, whom I adopted from the shelter the same day my old buddy passed away in late July. She's a Pit Mix (He was a pure APBT). She'll be two years old in May.

I guess everybody's idea of dog beauty is different, but folks frequently stop their vehicles to tell me I've got a great looking dog while I'm walking her. I think she is too.

She's working out great. She came with me on a two day car (both ways) ride to New York for Thanksgiving, and she's a great traveling companion. Took to long distance car travel like a duck to water.

he's a San Antonio south side pit, that birdwatcher found abandoned. Mike brought him to me shortly after my other dog had chocked to death on a tennis ball. He's the mellowest dog I've ever had.

All his brothers and sisters are personal assistance , bomb or police dogs. He was the runt of the litter.

I remember that, now that you mention it. Glad that worked out so well. You got a good one. Looks to me like a pure American Bulldog.

As to choking on tennis balls, my previous Pitbull almost did that once. He had a huge mouth and throat, and sucked it right in after retrieving it. He just barely managed to pop it out, after a bit of a struggle. No more tennis balls for him after that. Switched him to the over-sized rubber Kong balls.
