Let's see some nice Lefevers if you got them... I recently bought a D grade lefever and have always thought they were one of the best looking American made shotguns and likely the best American sidelock....
Although a bottom ender I have a little Nitro Special 20ga that somewhere in it's life was built into a skeet gun for a lady.
Interestingly the open choke is on the left side(rear trigger), it is choked SK-I and SK-II. I believe that is because most of the birds on the skeet field were shot as singles so it was easier for someone with a smaller hand to shoot the rear trigger.
The front trigger is set up so when you straighten your finger after fireing the rear trigger it goes forward until your finger is straight and the snaps back into position for the second shot.
It is stocked with a 13" LOP and has front and mid ivory beads.
I bought it for my wife but have shot it at a few shoots and it is a sweet handling gun.

Gotta see a pic Drew! (But I will happily debate you over whether Uncle Dan's finest is better than an LC Smith!) (Perhaps over a good scotch when we meet?)

I'll get pictures up when I can... its nothing special thats for sure but I THINK its an honest gun... I just love the fine engraving and sculpted frame on the D grade Lefevers. This one is 30" extractors, damascus, pistol grip, orginal thick HRBP. No case color left just patina but the barrels might have 50+% of the original finish.
To be completely honest, I have tried buying two or three different mid grade honest Smiths over the last 6 months or so but have alway been runner up... can never quit seem to get one...
notropis... I love hunting snipe. Thanks for sharing.
