Does anyone have any experience or comments relating to the Leupold Tactical scope line which includes the model M1? Are the MilDot recticles suitable for hunting? Leupold website lists this scope as weighing about 22 oz which is fairly heavy for a hunting scope. Is the performance worth its extra weight? Intend to mount it on a Ruger No.1 in .270win Any comments are appreciated. Thanks

IMO the combination would be a pig.

On a hunting No.1 a VX-3 3.5-10x40 would be much better, and you can add an M1 elevation turret if you want to twist.
