i'm helping a gunsmith friend of mine sell this beautiful custom colt. it is a Colt SAA in 45 colt. it was completely rebuilt in 2000 by world famous shooter bob munden. he did his #2 premier race action job on this pistol. some of what was done: coil spring conversion, modify hammer, shorten barrel to 4 43/4", recut and time cylinder locks, and re-plate with electroless nickel plate. the finish is like a mirror! (you can see my reflection in some of my pics) it includes the paperwork and a target shot by bob munden himself. i have never felt a SAA action, or any other revolver action, that feels as slick as this. you can get this one for $2400 shipped please feel free to ask question or for more pics. http://bobmunden.com/custom-gunsmithing/option-2/

Going by the serial number on the paperwork, looks like this is a second generation Colt made in 1970.
