Hello, I picked up a 336A from TnBigBore some time back. He told me it was a very accurate rife and here is the proof. I'm now very glad that my nephew for whom the gun was purchased is of the mind that he needs a "big boomer" to kill deer and that the old .30-30 just won't cut it. This group was the first 5 shots fired at 100 yards with a Leupy 2-7 Vari-X II mounted on the rifle. rudyc
It's a good day for something.

Thank you for providing the coin as perspective evidence. Your 30-30 is a KEEPER!

That is fine accuracy, I would go and buy four or five cases of the same lot number if I could. That rifle will keep you in venison for the next 40 years. I am looking for one myself.

If nephew cant kill deer with that nail driving 30 30 then a big boomer aint gonna do him any good.No joke that is some fine accuracy going on with that Marlin.

Looks like you are ready to hunt. Lots of folks find the 170 Core Lokt to be the most accurate in their rifles (that is all Dad ever bought and lots of coyotes hated him for it). jack

Try the 140 Hornady rubber tips, may surprise you as well as extending beaten zone by 50 yards.
Hey NSAQAM, Larry is very "IN", LOL You also dishonor the 28th division by using the unit patch as an insult. As for the liar, welcher Bricktop, his day is fast approaching. Coward trolls won't accept PMs. How's the phantom "campfire" coming ?

I have found the Remington 170 gr HP to be the best factory load for the 30-30. I have shot many 1 inch or less groups at 100 yards with this load. Andy
