Did Savage continue this safety feature (open lever about an inch or two and while holding trigger back, close the lever) firing pin is now decocked. Did this feature change when they went to the tang safety? Tom

Did this feature change when they went to the tang safety? Tom Can't do it on the tang safety guns unless the lever is ground out to clear the trigger assembly.

My 375 tang safety does it with some tinkering. Hasn't been apart since I've had it in 20 years or so.
