Just saw this on Yahoo News. It is confirmed a wolf has crossed from Oregon into California. I bet they're already preparing it a star on the Walk of Fame. But many questions must be asked. First of all, how will they tell it apart from Alec Baldwin, Sean Penn or Charley Sheen?

Hopefully it gets hit by a semi or shot by someone that will follow the 3S rule.

I bet you can tell a wolf from snakes.

Hammerdown, I was too flippant. Actually, I'm concerned for those of you who must deal with this as we up here have had to deal with it for last 12-15 years. Unfortunately, you folks have the Hollywood mentality to deal with, too.

Oh Lord, you california boys are in for it. The wolfies will go ape schitz and cordon off half the state as a sanctuary.

Think positive. Maybe the wolves will eat all the coyotes.

That would be extreme irony.

The really sad part is that we are finally and painfully regaining an elk herd here in CA. On top of that the most recent of these gains are in the very north of the state from elk spilling over from Oregon.

All that hype about shooting wolves from the greenies and the last time I looked,Idaho only has 177 down and like 20 or so is from trapping..

There a worthy prey to hunt, maybe to worthy as they seem to be a target of opportunity..

I hope northern dave is right; let the wolves eat ALL the damn Condors! Than those doggies can sniff around and eat ALL the stinkin' Delta Smelt thingies. Ranchers and farmers would be good with that! And us Ca. hunting folk also.

HA!!!

Did hear they found sierra club and peta members tasty...

The powers to be should have transplanted a pack or two in San Diego, Los Angleles and hollywood. Beautiful animal for beautiful places...

If wolves did what they had done JUST to the elk heards alone, there would be a great decline in walking commuting people, the homeless, alley dwellers and transients....

Famous expression around here is, Wolves...try to smoke a pack a day!!
