I would like to find the date of manufature of my 99E SN A6001XX I bought it about 15 yrs ago,1ST 99. I gave it to my grandson for XMAS this year. I would like to let him know how old it is. I have bought 3 more since then,habit forming,2 R's in 300 sav and a EG in 250. first post but been reading site for years, lots of get info. Thanks NCgary

You got the manufacturing date perfectly " right", but he's got an EG in .250 Savage, too... so tell me why you can't do the " RIGHT THING" and quit makin' those famous "MadDog's Tomato Stakes" outta the EGs and learn-to-love 'em like I do, old friend? Wow, thats surprising, it was just a shot in the dark. Took off to camp for the day to give my sled some running time and I just got back in the door. Got on the computer and see I missed a Savage take down case WITH the 410 barrel for $150. I"M PISSED!!!!!
