The deer was facing me and I shot low in the neck with a 7mmRM 160gr partition. The bullet passed through the neck and travelled along the spine. The deer did a back flip at the shot. As I walked up I could see it was split from the back of the head to the base of the tail. There was nothing left of either backstrap and the back legs were pointing in the wrong direction. Deal with it.
