Find coyotes - scout Sneak in Watch the wind Call Shoot Don't be discouraged - the videos make it look easy but there's a learning curve Learn a mouth call - I like the Crit' Call, cheap can make a lot of sounds.

getting set up without them knowing you are in the area and the wind is the most important.
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

The kind of call, camo, rifle, ammo, etc you use isn't all that important. Sitting your butt down in the right spot in the right country and holding still will kill more coyotes than anything you can buy.

2 people walk into the stand, then one leaves. Coyotes can't count, yet.

Leave cassette unit at home & get 2 different mouth calls, 1 open reed call & 1 closed reed and start calling like you are dying & get ready to pop a coyote...that is if there are any in the areas you want to call in. Time of day is not a real concern, sit in crosswind/breeze if you can, be still, think like a coyote. If you have to get up & move do it slowly as there may be one looking right at you trying to make you out where you did not see it.
Did I make you cry......boooo hooo, life goes on.

Camo yourself, use cover to hide your outline, watch the wind, practice calling. Don't move around much, don't overcall, start blowing softly and work your way up in volume....
Hunt a lot...

Tom

you are in Tennessee. Plan on sitting still at least an hour on each stand, more if you hunt the day light hours. Eastern yotes don't play by the same rules those western ones do on all the videos.
If you can night hunt, do it. Your success rate will skyrocket, but it's still not like out west. Some of the guys from out west will kill more dogs in one day than a good hunter kills all year in the east. If you see one every 10-15 stands you are doing good. Don't get discouraged and have fun.
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Lots of good advice here. Definately play the wind and try to get in undetected. Try a furry decoy, if an approaching yote has something to look at other than you, that will be to your advantage. Good luck, the predator bug bites hard!

All great advice, I also like keep a little plastic mouse squeaker taped to the forend of my rifle, right next to my hand. Some times those educated yotes get Hung up, even with a decoy, and won't come into range. I find that little squeaker does the trick.
