With new folks poppin in here once in awhile, it got me to thinking about past frequent posters.

What the heck ever happened to Wabo from MO?? His last post was on Page 609.

Hope everything is alright with him and his family...

I sent him a PM nearly a year ago and haven't heard anything. I know he has health issues with his daughter. I pray that isn't the reason he's disappeared.

I'll second that.

I've wondered about WABO too.

Set a record today. The earliest I've ever taken down the outdoor decorations. 45* here and I've got more grass showing than snow.

I remember that. That is one of the reasons I started thinking about him. Hope they are doing well.

55* yesterday in my neck of the woods. Approaching 50* now. It is making it really, REALLY tough to be at work!

We have lost most of the little snow we've had here. It's beautiful today with the sun shining.

I'm bailing early to go look at a boat. smile

My son called. He just bought a 1991 18.5 foot AlumaWeld. No engines on it. Said he has a line on a 115HP/80 (Jet drive) Yamaha. He'll be running it on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers.

Hey boys and gurlas. No snow and warm here too. I watched the NDSU Bison win the college football natiuonal championship just now! Way to go Bison.

I am off to Florida for work on Monday. I wonder if it will be colder down there than it is here?

Also watched the Bison win the title at my friends and fellow NDSU grad's house at Ottertail Lake and then went ice fishing for a few hours. Only caught small walleyes and eater size perch but had a great time. Only ATV's on that lake for now and several houses on smaller nearby lakes have sunk recently due to bad ice. Open water by the man made river mouth near where we fished.

No way I'm going on the lakes around here. The ice is dark and some of it is black.

Me and my #1 helper went on a boat search mission yesterday to look at new ones. I found a couple I really like. A Crestliner Fish Hawk 1650 and two Alumacrafts. A 165 Classic CS and a Competitor 165 Sport and/or CS. If I get a new one, it will be one of those 3. Lots of used ones out there and will most likely be the route I go. There is a boat show here next week that I plan to hit and compare the prices to what I already have. Fun. smile

I had something really cool happen to me last night.

My BIL came over with my nieces so the kids could play. We were watching football and he brought a few guns to work on. He was messing around with an old Stevens 20ga SxS. He finished it up and handed it to me to take a look at.

Tonight my BIL came over to watch football and work on guns. He was putting a spring in the release of a Stevens 20ga SxS with double triggers. He finished it up and handed it to me to take a look. I shouldered it, and said it was pretty cool and didn't feel too bad.

He asked if I like it and I said "yes." He said, "keep it then."

I'm still kinda shocked. Nobody has ever given me a gun before. I'm not sure if he knows how much it means to me that he did that, but it's cool as hell.

I now have two 20ga shotguns and neither one of them will ever be for sale as long as I'm alive. My beat up Rem 870 express and now this one.

Hey Zone are therye many Stratos boats up your way? I have a 486sf that we really like. Have you looked at the 386xs? Looks
like it would handle some pretty good water.

My cabin is just north of you on Big Pine. Good walleye fishing so far up there.

I'm trying to stay away from glass unless I get a smoking deal on a Ranger 617. I'd consider that. To answer your question. No, we don't have may Stratos boats around here. Cabelas sells them.
