Mississippi, you can kill 5 does and 3 bucks during gun season. More than that if you are culling for a management plan. I havent bow hunted in the last couple of years, but I believe you have a few additional allowed with the bow, but I dont have my season bag limit booklet with me. I hunt only private land owned by my father in law. He has a lot of land and only about 4 of us hunting it. We have to take so many does a year, and I wind up the one that has to get it done. I know it is a hard job but I am willing to sacrifice my time to do it.

4 - 6mm thru .35 bore for deer.
I'm a bit more prolific in diversity with hogs.
.410, 20, 16 and 12 ga. .22 CB short, .22 Short HVHP, .22 LR, .257 Bob, .30-30, .44 Mag...probably some others that don't come to mind...I've killed a fair number of them, the faces blur with the passage of time. Oh yeah, .38 Spcl....Lady Smith at about 12'.(that's how high the stand was) I don't care much for hogs....more bothersome than liberals if you ask me. I have shot one hog more than once, that with the CB shorts, the second a coup de gras after a spine hit. Total over 80 as of this writing.
I am..........disturbed.
Concerning the difference between man and the jackass: some observers hold that there isn't any. But this wrongs the jackass. -Twain

I tend to sight in two or three rifles each year before the season, then use them more or less at random.
This year I am going to try to baptise a 30-06 for '06 while teaching my wife to use a 257Robert. It'll be her first deer.
Winchester rifles and Swarovski scopes.

My list is short, I've hunted most of my life with the same rifle, in 7mm mag. The only others I killed deer with are, one deer back in highschool with a 22lr, one buck with a 7mm-08, and one buck with a 300RUM.

22lr 30-30 308 30-06 20 ga 12 ga 10 ga All the shotgun kills were with buckshot. Hope to add a new cartridge to the list this season , think I will leave all of the above at the house. Maybe I will carry the 7.7 Jap.

30-30 35 Remington 35 Whelen 30-06 257 Roberts 7.62x39
The 257 Roberts has been my new favorite for about 7 years and I have killed most of my deer with it. The 30-06 is a close second for number of kills. The most impressive kill has been with the 35 Whelen.
