Personally I think this is one of the best NFL seasons in a long time. Neither the NFC or the AFC have a clear undisputably superior team. There are lots of good teams on both sides. Not only with the playoffs be great, with plenty of close games. I think we're seeing the making of an epic SB.
I think if the Giants can really focus on poking holes in the Packers D and scoring big, they have a chance.
Deal with it.

Weather Channel is calling for a high of 18 in Green Bay on Sunday, 11 mph wind. Balmy!

I'd say the NFC is marginally the better conference although San Fran and the Giants are the only two playing D.

Giants win. 34 to 28
Now the Pack could win, should win but won't win. I don't trust Capers at all.

Probably wishful thinking on my part but I think Capers has been holding back some of his blitz plays/packages and we'll see them against the giants.

Pack has no pass rush and while the Giants are only rated 5 spots ahead of GB on D - they have a pass rush. A PR would solve MANY problems with the D.

I don't think they will put up those numbers. I can see a 17-24 score. I think the pack should be favored but the giants played pretty good D against the falcs.

Cept the Falcons aren't what I'd call a good football team so it's a bit of a mirage. Just seen where Jason Pierre Paul guaranteed victory for the Giants. Says they're the best team in football. 9-7 records will do that I guess. Between that and them finding Philbin's son today, dead - I don't think I want to be a Giant CB with Aaron pissed off and a team wanting to provide an emotional win for their OC. Philbin's son was reported missing on Sunday, they found him today - deceased. Sad all the way around. He was 21.

While I'm not sure if the Packers are destined to repeat, I don't see them losing this week.
One thing is for sure, this is going to be a great weekend of football.

*scratchin' head
You can trace the Packers turn around to the day Capers showed up. The Pack had gone 4-12 (IIRC), were on their way to duplicating that ugly feat, Rodgers was looking like a fool (hanging on too long, and getting sacked), defense was atrociuos, and penalties on every ding-dong play. Enter Capers, and here we are.
Last year the Green Bay defense carried this team -- and was a dominant defense -- `until Rodgers finally came into his own (after Flynn strarted, and nearly beat the Patriots). So with a dominant defense, and Rodgers hot as a cutting torch, a wildcard six-seed wins it all, geat - happy dance!
Off season, what do the Packers do? Bolster the offense (again), and gut the defensive line, trim the linebackers, pare the secondary, and people expect what?
The defense going from a #1, to cellar-dweller, isn't a Capers thing.
As to the game, my heart says says Packers, my head says the Giants once agian steal a playoff game in Lambeau. Expect the Giants to control the ball, run for north of 150 yards, and simply keep Rodgers on the sideline.
GO PACK!

I'm rooting for the Giants but the reality is they have been so inconsistent this year that I don't think they will win.

I have visions of that Giant defensive line ruining Rodgers' day as well. The Pack had better be ready with runs (that actually work), draws, screens, quick-hitters and such to open up the verticle game.
The above is not something the Pack has excelled (or even been good at). We'll see.
