I've used the 210 & 225 partition, the 225 hornady, and the 225 xlc on deer and can't see how any wouldn't work.

I don't see how you could load ANY Bullet ever made in 338 bore, that wouldn't be more than enough for ANY deer that ever walked this planet...

biggest deer on record in the USA was taken with some lever action wimpy cartridge....

I'm with the others on the 200gr Hornady SP page don't need to load them hot just find and easy shooting load that groups good in your rifle and kill them. It's also probably the least expensive bullet mentioned. Magnum man

I've shot a few deer with 200 BTIPs in .338 and it did not seem to be doing much damage. The bullet is apparently pretty tough and deer tend to run a good way. I was avoiding shoulder shots as I thought this load would demolish lots of meat, but maybe would have gotten better expansion. In fairness, none of the deer were very big or offered much resistance. In any case, I have bought some 200gr Hornady SPs that I plan to try someday in hopes they are a bit more dramatic in upset.
