Has anyone installed this kit? if so have you had any problems with light primer strikes on reloaded 9mm. ammo using the provided striker spring in the kit? I use CCI 500 small pistol primers. Thanks! smile

My buddy has it in his m&p .40 and has a few thousand rounds of reloads through it with no issues. It sure slicks things up and is a worthwhile upgrade IMHO.

CCI's have relatively hard primer cups, at least they used to. Try some Fed primers.

I can't speak to the conversion kit, but I've got quite a few pistols and revolvers with modified triggers and the Fed primers have traditionally solved problems in that area.

I had one installed on an early M&P by my gunsmith. He was unable to get the APEX sear to engage. I called APEX, explained the problem, gave them the number of the gunsmith who explained the problem and answered all their questions regarding installation and tolerance differences he was seeing and measuring.

We never saw any resolution from APEX. The trigger reset is improved considerably using APEX parts and using the factory sear but the APEX sear simply wouldn't work in my early pistol despite all best efforts. Most of the shooters I know and hear from say they are a good addition.

I've got some reloads finished today I'll try them tomorrow. I think they will fire just fine as the new striker spring seems to strike pretty hard. I'll post if I have problems though. smile
