Truly horrible pic. 700s, a 788, a 725, and a Sportsman 78.

I find myself saying this a lot when you throw up pics, but I dig the stock on this one. What's the mix, if you don't mind? 8-06AI

My "old school" Varmint Special in 22/250. Not many rounds through it and it will shoot honest 1/2 inch 5 shot groups with its favorite load. drover Very nice old school. Looking to make up one of those myself. Have a left hand VS (varmint synthetic) .223 with the HS Precision stock and 26" barrel. Just bought two LH short action BDL stocks and going to take one to the gunsmith and have him open up the barrel channel for the varmint contour, also shorten the barrel. 21" is the flavor of the minute but I vacillate between 20", 21" or 22".
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

Better thanks! I just like to keep the 700 guys whining and sometimes stir a pot or two. I actually have owned a couple of 700's in Varmint Calibers and liked them quite a lot. I consider thier usefullness about over at backyard deer shooters but that is my opinion as a died in the wool CRF guy. And, I am weary of all the plastic and SS model 700's being reffered to as customs here, but that again is just my old inner Curmudgeion self coming out you call it Curmudgeion, i call it troll...
