6mm-06. Gonna try some 85 grain TTSXs this year, if I draw a tag.

One antelope trip to my credit. We all used 25/06 rifles of one sort or another. Can't see much way to improve upon what we accomplished and I'd be inclined to carry the same rifle again if the opportunity arises.

I have used both a .30-06 and 6mmRem. Next time out will either be 6.5-06AI w/123 Scenar or 6mmAI with the 85 TTSX same as Mudhen!

I only hunted antelope once and took my 300 RUM was expecting a long shot but 1 hour into the hunt I got a nice one at less than 100 yards. hope to do a mule deer/antelope hunt this year in Wyoming and will probably use the 300 RUM again

There's only one choice, IMO- after many years, and dozens of antelope, the .257 Wby is king.

Whatever happens to be my elk rifle for a given year.

Variously have been 338 WM, 300 WSM, 308 Win, 30-06 and 270.

My first antelope was taken with the 270 and that's probably my favorite because of it.

40 cal. Lol. I dispatched one with my duty weapon once. But if I was going on a hunt the 257 Roberts would get the nod.

Only been on one goat hunt, used the 257 wby and it worked. My shooting (or zeroing) was a little off, but it worked well.

Off the top of my head, my wife Eileen and I have taken pronghorns with the .220 Swift, .243 Winchester, .240 Weatherby, .250 Savage, .257 Roberts, .25-06 Remington, .257 Weatherby, 6.5x55, 6.5-06, .270 Winchester, 7x57, .280 Ackley Improved, 7mm Remington Magnum, 7mm STW, .30-06 and .300 WSM. They all worked, but the longest shots were made with the .257 Roberts, 6.5x55, .257 Weatherby, 7x57 and .280 Ackley Improved. All of those were 350-450 yards, and neither of us have ever tried any longer shots on unwounded antelope.

Eileen's favorite pronghorn round is probably the .257 Roberts. Mine is the rifle of the moment. Neither of us have shot one at much over 300 yards for a number of years.

I have shot them with

22-250
250 Savage
257 Roberts
25-06
270(?)
300 WSM
300 Win Mag

Looks like the 25's have it, current favorite antelope rifle is my 84M in 257 Roberts. I can't see improving on that much at all.
