Hello, I apologize if this is redundant but I could not find another post with this info. Can you recommend the best range rod for my Encore 50 cal.? Thank you, Brian

the Power Rod by TC, available through Cabellas is the best ramrod EVER made. Put one on the rifle and another(2 in longer )at the range. Try one and you will soon toss every other rod you own in the trash..

My Bone Collector came with the power rod and it is nice for the range. But want of a cleaning jag and bullet starter that fit the rifle for every day led me to order a spin jag and their g1 rod. I also ordered their wooden round palm saver that threads onto the rod. Figured I'd still use the power rod as a range rod but with the wooden palm saver I prefer the spin jag rod. That the spin jag spins whether patching or loading is icing on the cake.

Thanks for all the info guys. Honestly the T/C isn't a range rod, there nice rods but nothing like a knight range rod..range rods are used during shooting and cleaning session, not carried on the rifle while hunting. hope this helps...

The power rod Is the only one I will hunt with..

Thanks for all the info guys. The "T" range rod is Aluminum and comes with NO Charge Height Indicator or Bore Guide. The "Ultimate" is Stainless steel. It has not been that long ago that this rod was around $75.00.... The Ultimate Range Rod is by far the way to go. Some info. that you might like to read: http://www.modernmuzzleloader.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=21494

Knight A couple of years ago I bought a case of 12 of the 50cal Aluminum T-Handle Rods, I gave 8 of them to some of my friends and kept 4 for myself. Everyone I gave them to loves them, I'm going to order a couple of the Ultimate Range Rods(45 & 50)before spring for myself to use.

i have a screw on t-handle for my triumph .i use it on the bench. my bone collector came with the power rod which also works fine. i just wonder about getting in a hurry reloading while hunting and not getting it folded out of way and shooting the t off.

I have been using them on dozens of rifles(personal guns and test rifles),on probably over 30 hunts on three continents, with a lot of very hasty reloads, and it never happened. Not that it cant, I watched Tony Knight shoot his ramrod at an antelope once(talk about recoil) so feces does occur, but its not likely..
