Since the lead times on a Mickey won't matter while I'm stuck here, I've been seriously pondering a Mickey for my M77 mkII in 300 winny. So I'm looking for advice from the peanut gallery... What would be a good choice here? It sits in a boat paddle now, and gets lots of time being lugged around the mountains....

No idea what a "mickey" is, but Numrich (Gun Parts Ltd) has a lot of new Ruger factory stocks.

I have a McSwirly that weighs 30oz, dark green, medium tan and black. Has a cheekpiece and LOP is 13.5" with a Decelerator. It is inletted for a standard barrel channel and can be easily opened to fit your Winny. The pics absolutely suck, but you'll get the idea of what it looks like: If you are considering buying something like this or maybe this particular stock, I will sell it to you for $300.00 shipped. If you can't swing that, we'll work something out. New ones run $438 + $25 shipping. All you other vultures need not apply.

Don't worry about the money or it being sold to anyone else. Just holler when you want the stock and give me a shipping address, we can figure out the $$ issue whenever you like.

Well I finally got the stock installed that I got from Carlos. Opened up the barrel channel, did some light bedding around the recoil lug and its good to go. Got out today and did some shooting with it. Where I was I could only go to about 75 yds, but wow what a difference on recoil, and it turned the bulls-eye into one ragged hole! Carlos is definitely one of the good guys, and gave me a hell of a deal. BTW its a Ruger M77 MkII in 300 WM with a Timney trigger, Here is an obligatory stump pic.
