Hi,starting this so that I don't hijack the air rifles for small game thread.
Saw you had mentioned the Pro-Elite air rifle. How did you know that the piston seal was gone.Did the performance drop drastically.Did you have to send it in to a air rifle tuner to have it reworked/tuned/fixed.Was the quality of work pretty good.
Other than that is the Pro-elite very good and worth the money to fix it.
Air arms has discontinued this and sadly not too much info on the Pro-elite any more.
Appreciate any info you can give, thanks.

I sent it to Jim Maccarri not sure of the spelling.

It was an absolute amazing quiet, powerhouse that was simply astonishing to shoot in every way.

However, the seal replacement with shipping was about 180.00 per event. I owned the gun 5 years and did that three times. The last repair lasted the longest, because I shot it so infrequently based on the looming repair if I shot it a lot.

It is like an Alfa Romeo brilliant performance with hideous un-relaibility!

Thank you very much for the reply. That is not a very good thing.3 blown seals in 5 years and quite an expensive fix to boot.
Is it the Benjamin 392 pneumatic airgun that you like very much.Is it a workhorse and also does it go for a long time without needing repairs. Thanks for your input.Appreciate any info on this pneumatic air rifle.

I have one with original Seals that will hold air for months from 1966, others have needed seal replacement as soon as a decade of use, and probably a billion pump strokes.
