For skeet shooting I use 3/4 oz. loads since I do as well with these as with heavier shot charges. I am nearly out of the powder I have been shooting (700X) but would like to try Unique powder. Last year another member at my gun club was using Unique loads and the report seemed to be very mild with good breaks. The other party hasn't been at the club for some time so I haven't been able to ask him what his load consisted of. After checking all of my references I haven't been able to find a recommendation for this powder and shot charge weight. Don't know if this is because it isn't considered to be a good combination or if there is some other reason. Can anyone help?

The only 3/4 oz load I have using Unique comes from Ballistic Products Inc:

WAA hull, fiochi 615 primer, 1 20ga Nitro card+1 SG20 wad, 18 gr unique, 3/4 oz shot, 1220 fps

I haven't tried this and so cannot comment.

I have tried and like:

WAA hull, Win 209 primer, WAA 20 wad, 12 gr international clays, 3/4 oz shot, 1150 fps

This load is pretty forgiving, and also works with remington STS hulls and Rem 209 primers.

FWIW

tq

dumazuri - thank you for replying. I thought I had a fairly extensive library but it came up short on this item. It will be a few days before I have to get more powder since I still have about 1/2 lb. of my present powder to use. Also I will be going on my second moose hunt of the season on Sunday morning so will not be shooting shotgun for a couple of weeks. After I have decided on what powder to use I will try to remember to let you know how it all works out. Thanks again. Jim
