Blaine, I have a strong desire to do some research on the 7 SAUM as a 600 or 1000 cartridge, do you have any input as how this particular cartridge would do. I`m thinking 168 to 180 grain bullets.

I have wondered the same thing. It should have better barrel life than the 6.5x284 and less recoil than the 300 WSM. I think the telling factor would be to see if there is a 7mm match bullet that can be launched out of a 7 SAUM at fast enough velocity to provide similar wind drift as the 300 Win/WSM gets with bullets in the 200-220 grain range.
