I want one; had a 238 and it was a sweet little gun, kept thinking "wow, what a great gun this would be in 9mm." Looks like a good, smaller size alternative to the Springfield EMP.

Sigh. Another one for the wish list.

IMO a 9mm should have a 3.5" barrel minimum and at least a ten round double stack mag, but I'm sure they'll sell a bunch of these.

Personally I liked the look of the 238 and I really like this 938! I'm not a big fan of the Sig Company, but they do make some really nice firearms.
When I looked at the 238 all I kept thinking about was how little I paid (comparatively) for my Ex-Wife's Colt Government 380 a decade ago and how little I sold it for back then (sigh!) the guns you should never let go of! I've learned my lesson and no longer get rid of guns.
Anyway, back to the topic, I think it will be a great little gun and as a left eye dominant shooter I appreciate the ambi safety!

I like the looks of it. I do like the finger extension shown in the pic of the extreme model. Wonder if it comes with all of them.

I think I could like that gun, except for the MSRP.

Does this mean that they're already giving up on the P290?

I keep looking at the MSRP, then thinking of the police surplus P6's imported back a few years ago. Some of these were basically unfired, the smaller magazine versions of the 226, that could be bought in the box, test target, german manual, etc. for about 240 bucks. Wonderful little pistols

I stopped by the Sig display @ SHOT & handled a few of their samples--took pics which I'll post when I get home & can download from my camera. The samples that they displayed all had hideous trigger pulls--ie. 8#+ and gritty. The really bad feature was that they all had very sharp edges--ie. Make you bleed, sharp. These things were contrasted when I stopped & handled Kimber's Solo. It seemed like a superior weapon in every measurable category.

...I stopped by the Sig display @ SHOT & handled a few of their samples--took pics which I'll post when I get home... The Equinox has a kind of funky fiber optic front sight--very long, which seems inconsistent with a potential pocket pistol, the others had their proprietary "Siglite" night sights. As mentioned earlier, there were alot of sharp edges on the display models---maybe they'll smooth out the production-run guns---if so, would be a nice backup piece.

I just recently picked up a 238 and wished I'd known about the 938 coming out. I'd feel better about the 9mm and its ammo availability over the .380.
I bet SIG will sell a ton of them.

Looks way to small for me to control. The K-T P11 is wide enough to be controllable in my hand the PF9 is not. This is why there is no really small 9MM in my safe like the Rohrbaugh.

If I were to buy a smallish 9mm Sig I'd be looking at the P250. LONG wait for the Kimber Solo too.

Honestly, I don't know how you guys fit the Solos, etc and shoot them well.
The M&P compact and Smith 642 is about as small as my hands can handle. I've tried to go smaller and it seems like I'm "fighting" the gun to get my hits. Nothing to do with recoil, just continually trying to get the "right" grip.
I can conceal the listed pair just fine, so I'll just go forth with 'em...
