I just aquired a Rossi 92 and don't want to shoot Colt cartridges for plinking, just Casull because of OAL. I'm wondering if I can safely load Colt level charges, or if the excess space in the Casull case requires more powder to maintain safe low-end pressures. I sure don't need to have a projectile lodged in the barrel.

Thanks,

Dan

Use Trail Boss cowboy action loads. They'll work fine.

Hey NSAQAM, Larry is very "IN", LOL
You also dishonor the 28th division by using the unit patch as an insult.
As for the liar, welcher Bricktop, his day is fast approaching.

The OAL is so close between the two, I can't imagine a colt load in nearly any powder would be an issue. It seems the significantly stronger Casull chamber would handle nearly anything a Colt load could dish out.

My jacketed loads will be strong Colts - easy to shoot for plinking. I've got a bunch of swaged lead and I'd really like to slow it down to minimize leading. I should probably get the Trail Boss for those loads.
