I just returned from my first Antelope hunt and was rewarded with a great hunt.We were hunting on public land the animals were very jumpy. My hunting partner and I tried to stalk a small group of Antelope but were unable to close the gap to less than 777 yards. As my partner read the yardage I took a wind reading and dialed in one moa of wind correction and twelve and three quarters moa elevation adjustment.I was prone shooting off a bipod,as I concentrated on the sight picture so intently that when the trigger broke I was surprised.Iwas able to get back in the scope in time to see the Antelope collaspe straight down.I was shooting a custom made 300 win mag with a Nightforce 3.5X15 with the NP-R2 reticle and 180 grian TXS

HOLY CRAP!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
I saw the "777" thread title and figured " Cool. a long range BPCR kill!" And when I saw "twelve minutes of elevation" and "cross sticks" and "scope" I went bonkers!!

THEN I realized it was 777 yards, NOT BP substitute! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

However, that does not make it any less a feat and that is a fine shot, for sure, congratulations!

Great distance and wind doping to your parntner , BTW!

scopes are cool, but slings 'n' irons RULE!
